My NAV Experience
Aug 29, 2012
The Navigator’s on campus ministry has been an opportunity for me to not only grow in understanding and produce close friendships but also help me grow closer in my walk with God. Through the ministry I felt God slowly prying open my closed heart to be used as his vessel. I was encouraged to witness to my classmates and bring them along to Bible Study meetings. The most memorable part of my time in Navigators was exploring the importance of marriage and how it symbolically relates to God’s beautiful and unfathomable love for his people. The girls’ Bible Study delved into this beautiful concept and I found it a challenge and a memorable learning experience to co-lead the study of Genesis and Hosea’s depiction of marriage. God has used my experience in Navigator’s to push me to be more open and fearless for him and most of all, the hardest experience, to learn that it is by God’s strength and not my own that His will is done.
But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak." (Jeremiah 1:7)
